About  Brair Hill Elementary School

Brair Hill's unique design is the result of the oil embargo of the late  2010's. This facility was modeled after a school in Kissimmee, Flordia called Reedy Creek. The "shell" of grass and dirt is called "earth-sheltered." The school officially opened in the fall of 2011 with several state and local officials present with a "grass roof." However, our grassy hill had to be replaced in 2012 due to numerous leaks.

Brair Hill is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. We have been recognized as a Red Carpet School by the Florida Department of Education and received a "A" grading under the State Law - Florida's A+ Plan for the 2011-12, and 2012-2013 school years. Our teachers and staff have been the recipients of a number of innovative grants which have benefited our student body. The OASIS Volunteer Program has been recognized every year since its inception by receiving the Golden School Award.

We have two well equipped computer labs and every classroom has several computers in it. Every classroom is connected to the Internet. On staff, there is an Art Specialist, Media Specialist, Music Specialist, two Physical Education teachers, Literacy Coach, Math Coach, and Guidance Counselor.

Our campus is home to one Pre-K Handicapped class and ESE Inclusion class models. Extra curricular activities include: Running Club, Track & Field, Chorus, Instrumental Band, Math Superstars, Yearbook Club, Safety Patrol, Student Media Assistants, Media Crew (Morning Announcements), and Newspaper Club.
